<h3>What it is</h3><p>Haloscan is an app for people with Hashimoto's or hypothyroidism. It keeps lab results, symptoms and medication doses on one timeline, and builds a two-page report to take to an appointment so you can't be dismissed.</p><h3>The problem</h3><p>Thyroid disease is managed over years, not weeks. Results pile up across whatever portal each lab happened to use, symptoms get remembered rather than recorded, and dose changes get lost in between. So you arrive at a ten-minute appointment trying to recall how the last six months actually went, and "I've been exhausted" is hard for a doctor to act on.</p><h3>What it does</h3><ul><li><p>Photograph a printed lab report and the values are extracted, so there's no typing</p></li><li><p>TSH, Free T4, Free T3 and TPO antibodies stored against the reference range that lab actually printed, with units converted so results from different labs stay comparable</p></li><li><p>Symptoms logged morning and evening on a simple scale</p></li><li><p>Medications recorded with the dates doses changed</p></li><li><p>Labs, symptoms and doses on one timeline, so you can see what your levels were doing in the weeks you felt worst and what changed after an adjustment</p></li><li><p>A flag for markers nobody has tested in over a year</p></li><li><p>Reminders, including a warning before a booked blood draw if you take biotin, which interferes with many thyroid assays</p></li><li><p>A two-page report with your history, trends, and the two or three questions you most want to ask</p></li><li><p>Everything exports to CSV</p></li></ul><h3>Why it exists</h3><p>I built it for my mother. She has Hashimoto's and spent years being told her results were normal while getting steadily worse, with no record anywhere that showed the pattern. I made the same report by hand for anyone who asked, for free, until I couldn't keep up. So I built it properly.</p><h3>What it will not do</h3><p>I'm a software developer, not a clinician. The app records and charts what you enter. It does not interpret results, suggest doses, or imply a diagnosis. Analytics are off unless you turn them on, and deleting your account removes everything.</p>
