First to offer nationwide GoPro camera sales and support in South Africa
First to sponsor extreme sports with the GoPro brand in South Africa
First to sponsor athletes with the GoPro brand in South Africa

Being a purely online platform to understand and purchase the cameras (and accessories), we had to really be inventive with our marketing, both on and offline. As a small company, we were able to maneuver very quickly and fast became the visual brand at all the local extreme sport events. Brand partnerships were establish which re-enforced our edge. We also sponsored athletes who we found to be directly representative of our ethos.

We closed our doors once the market became saturated through the 'bricks and motor' shops.

Our early success lay in the ability to move fast on our feet, propelling us above the competition in the early stages of the POV cameras.

As a result of the 'overnight success' we had with Allinterns, the next logical step was to house a full working experience agency under one roof. Kickstart was created for this where we housed an internship agency, wildlife & social volunteer agency, teaching positions and voluntourism.
We developed worldwide partnerships with agencies overseas and included a lot of strategic digital marketing techniques to attract new customers.

I made an exit just before South Africa was hit with a bad economic situation forcing internationals to not look at South Africa as a destination. My foresight worked out perfectly as I developed the Certified Superyacht Academy brand shortly afterwards where we sent South Africans to work abroad instead of receiving Europeans to work in South Africa.

Founder / Director Of Marketing Operations

One of my earlier companies, this brand was developed where there was an obvious gap in the market for a company offering a full turnkey service to international students.
Within one week (concept to going live), we had our website operational with a marketing campaign supporting. Our brand was immediately well received, with customers signing up for our internship programs in Cape Town, South Africa.
We marketed our services to students in Europe and offered them internships, accommodation rentals, transport options, and lifestyle elements all during their +/- 6 months with South Africa.

Founder / Marketing Operations Manager
