Statio provides an MCP gateway designed to meticulously control access for AI agents, granting them individual identities and ensuring granular permissions for each tool they interact with. This innovative solution addresses the critical need for security and traceability in AI operations. Statio's desktop application seamlessly configures various AI clients, including Claude Code, Cursor, and others, along with essential keys for services like Stripe and GitHub. Crucially, these sensitive keys are encrypted and stored securely within Statio, rather than on individual laptops, significantly reducing the risk of data breaches. Every interaction made by an AI agent is meticulously logged, detailing the agent, the tool used, and whether the action was permitted or denied.

Granular Access Control: Statio allows administrators to define specific permissions for each AI agent, enabling them to grant access to certain tools while denying access to others, even within the same server. This prevents unauthorized actions, such as data deletion, by restricting access at a per-tool level.

Agent Identity Management: Unlike traditional methods where agents might borrow human credentials, Statio assigns a unique identity to each agent. This allows for individual suspension, revocation, or setting expiration dates for agent access without affecting other users.

Comprehensive Auditing: Every tool call is recorded, providing a detailed audit trail that includes the agent's identity, the tool invoked, the server used, the duration of the call, and its success or failure status. This information can be streamed to SIEM systems for enhanced security monitoring.

Secure Credential Storage: API keys and other sensitive credentials are encrypted using AES-256-GCM and stored securely within the Statio gateway. They are only attached after an access check, ensuring that real credentials are never exposed to the AI agent or the local machine.

Shadow Discovery: The desktop application automatically discovers and configures MCP servers, plugins, and skills installed by developers across different clients, providing a centralized view of the AI infrastructure without requiring additional security software.

Statio offers flexible pricing plans, starting with a free tier for evaluation, and scaling up to Team and Business plans designed for collaborative environments and organizations with stringent security requirements. The platform emphasizes ease of use, allowing users to start with a free plan, connect a server, and set policies without lengthy sales processes or annual contracts.
