From managing students' attendance to teaching them Web Development, I helped over 100 students with non-tech backgrounds to become better developers and land full-time jobs.

Startup Hustler

Responsible for mentoring students through various sessions (1:1, group, doubt resolving) for Data Structures and Algorithms as well as Full Stack Development

Full-stack & DSA Mentor

Selected as one among 150 fellows out of more than 20,000 applicants in the MLH Fall Fellowship Program (0.75% acceptance rate)

• As a warmup I updated GraphQL queries and validations to add two new metrics from the Github's GraphQL API

• With a lot of discussions and Code Reviews with the maintainer (Jordan) I was finally able to refactor the code which decreased the steps in the process of adding a new metric by 25%

• Finally to finish the Refactor I wrote tests to type-check the Metrics and their properties using tape.js, Implemented a JSON schema to validate the variable types

• Then went ahead and worked on a Web-based client for this application which will allow this application to be more accessible to the general public since some of the developers don't use CLI applications

Fellowship (Open Source Developer)

I was a Pre-fellow at the MLH Fellowship where individuals from all over the globe were admitted to learn new technologies and build meaningful applications.

During this fellowship, I took part in the Orientation Hackathon where people were asked to make meaningful improvements to an existing portfolio template website in which the most notable feature that I added would be AlanAI which allowed the portfolio to be voice enabled.

I also worked with a team of 3 within the pod and built a website that helps people learn efficiently from the plethora of YouTube courses. This project won the "Best Project" award in the Pod.

Pre-Fellowship

Code flow is a student-driven organization running for student empowerment. And I am contributing as a mentor for "team 2" helping them build amazing projects that solves real-world problems.

Mentor

I worked on Next.js & TailwindCSS codebase to fix bugs, add features, improve UI, and redesign the landing page (https://test-teachers.blended.app/teachers) & (https://test.blended.app/)

• Added firstLogin personalisation flow and persisted data using React Query, improved invoke time by ~40%
• Implemented a highly scalable video tooltip modal component that invokes on the first user visit using cookies
• Integrated Mix Panel Analytics tool for various functions, which highly impacted the product launch analysis

Frontend Developer

This past summer, I entirely rewrote the User Interface of LibreHealth Toolkit and Radiology as an Open Web Application. It followed the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource (FHIR) standards, and I utilized lh-toolkit-webcomponents for the development.

Open Source Developer

Worked on a React.js codebase with mobx as the state management library

• Migrated React.js frontend to V3 of API and added e-commerce functionality
• Built a CRM using React.js and Material UI and worked on Pamphlet generation using Python

Software Engineer

Making it easy for online educators to launch their first course in less than 2 minutes, with high levels of interaction for students.
