I have zero background in coding, I’m a marketer, yet I’ve managed to ship two actual products.
The first build, TypeGone (voice-to-text), proved to me that AI can generate almost anything you can articulate. But building Taskly taught me the messier half of the equation: describing what you want is maybe 30% of the work. The rest comes down to raw editorial judgment. It's knowing what not to build, catching the model when it hallucinates with total confidence, and knowing when to take the wheel.
Funny thing is, I originally built Taskly just to keep my team organized. Now it runs my personal life too. Work deadlines, errands, even daily prayers. If your head is constantly full, it works.
