Joining SBC as a mentor, thanks to the kind invitation of the SBC team during the second month of moving to the Netherlands, is incredibly inspiring for me. Based on the lessons I learned in the MENA startup scene, I support Food and Agrotech startups, which has been an amazing journey, especially in parallel with developing my startup, Xpertell, here in the Netherlands.

I joined Digikala to shape a new function to reduce sales & pricing fraud in the platform, and successfully built the Platform Monitoring and Pricing function and team, enhancing customer trust and order quality.

After 10 months at Digikala and successfully launching the Monitoring and Pricing functions as Platform Health team, I was invited to lead the biggest function in the Platform team, as the Platform Operational Excellence Manager (marketplace & Retail), as a cross-functional team between Commercial, Operations, and Product, with lots of collaborations with the Risk, Finance, Customer Experience and Category Management functions. With a team of 25, I focused on driving operational excellence at Digikala, achieving remarkable results in optimizing 6 business KPIs in a fast-paced environment.

Operational Excellence Manager, Marketplace & Retail

Moving to the Netherlands made me quit this role, although I've always been passionate about people-first platforms. After 9 years of experiencing different e-commerce startups and in parallel with starting my own startup, Xpertell, I joined Maktabkhooneh to launch and grow the marketplace while optimizing and restructuring its commercial operations, processes, and service supply chain. Maktabkhooneh is a calm and fast-paced company, and I enjoyed my short time there.

During that efficient time, I designed processes based on the benchmarks, hired a team of 15, launched the marketplace, collaborated with the Product team to prioritize user feedback into features and scalable processes, collaborated with the Marketing and Sales teams to balance supply and demand, and defined the team OKR while participating in setting up the business OKRs. I achieved over 3K instructors and 120 monthly active instructors publishing courses on the marketplace.

Passionate about startups and their outcome-driven nature, as well as their fast-paced environment, I joined the co-founding team of Chilivery as the youngest member, and proudly played a pivotal role in establishing a customer-centric culture and launching business operations.
