I build and sell Tidy, a macOS menu bar app that reads what is written inside your files and names them from their contents, using Apple's on-device text recognition.
I do all of it: Swift and SwiftUI, the on-device OCR pipeline, the licensing, the website, the support email and the writing. It is $9 once, with no subscription and no server — everything runs on the user's machine.
Most of what the app does today came from users who wrote to me and told me what was broken.
