I decided to ask for a loan to invest in software development to create an online chess community startup. This was one of the best decisions of my life. From zero, I was able to create a team (2 full-time employees + freelancers) and create a community that attained more than 100k users from 160 countries and reached the top-100k on Alexa by amount of visitors. 

The company was awarded with several prizes on innovation and after 3 years it was merged into chess24.com, the second most important chess websites in the world with +20 employees and backed by a top-investor.

After my previous company (Chesslive.com) was merged, I continue working from Spain remotely while finishing my degree on Business Administration. In this time, I was able to work on several departments of the business:

- Customer Support: On the first months I was fully responsible of taking care of the customer support of the Spanish Business Unit of the company, providing all the content and assistance needed.

- Content and Social Networks: My area of responsibilities grew up and I also took care of the content and social network administration (Facebook, Twitter and Youtube), optimizing the campaigns, taking care of the community and producing all kind of content to engage with our customers.

- Marketing/SEO/Analytics: The management team saw all the possibilities and granted me a new position in the company as a Marketing specialist. I created several campaigns through all our channels (social networks, mailing) and also work hard on the site optimization (SEO, on-site analytic

Online Marketing, Innovation & Data Analysis

My first business experience was creating a small startup with 15 years old called David Kaufmann Chess Web, which was devoted to inform about the chess news in the world and also make chess classes in schools and universities, teaching more than 1.000 kids in several schools.

Thanks to Chesslive.com, I was able to introduce an educative chess compulsory program in the school and I was able to teach +1.000 kids and organize tournaments & activities.

When you work on what you are passionate about and you surround yourself with people who share your passion and release energy, you do not work, you just enjoy!
