Part of the digital communications team at the sub-area of Roskilde Festival called Settle 'N Share. This area is managed by "Roskilde Festival Højskole", and it hosts around 3000 guests at the festival, where it aims to bring out values of community, sharing and green mentality as a part of enjoying a music festival.

I volunteered for the annual Roskilde Festival as part of the building crew, that helps realize architects' and artists' ideas for the physical surroundings of the "Roskilde Rising" area, as well as simply working with basic constructing.

What has happened in the Middle East since the turn of the century, and especially the horrors in Syria and how the EU has handled it, mean that I wanted to do something. Even if it was small. So along with my girlfriend, I’ve (and still do) volunteer as a “network family” for Mohannad, a then 23 year old Syrian war fugitive and chemistry student, who has been one of the (too few) to get asylum in Denmark. We hang out with him, help him navigate the Danish costumes and being young here, along with giving advice on how to reach his dream of finishing his studies. In return we get friendship, fucked up horror stories of his escape, warm company, genuine gratitude and delicious Syrian food.

In the run up to- and during NorthSide Festival 2014 I was part of the digital team which designed campaigns, managed Social Media channels, website and online communication in general. Amongst others i used Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Storify as part of this volunteer job.
