Tapformat is a powerful Mac application designed to streamline your file conversion and manipulation workflow. It allows you to effortlessly convert, shrink, crop, resize, and more, directly from Finder. With Tapformat, you can select any file in Finder – photos, PDFs, documents, audio, or video – and with a simple keyboard shortcut (⇧⌘), a context-aware ring appears, offering only the relevant format options. This eliminates the need to scroll through endless lists or open multiple applications. The tool works offline, ensuring your files never leave your Mac, and new files are saved alongside originals without overwriting. Key features include format conversion, shrinking files to a fraction of their size while maintaining quality, smart cropping for various aspect ratios, one-click resizing, rotation and flipping of images and PDF pages, instant audio muting for videos without re-encoding, and merging multiple PDFs into a single document. Tapformat is notarized by Apple for security and runs on macOS 15+ on both Apple silicon and Intel processors. The shortcut is customizable, and usage tracking can be opted out of.

Effortless Conversion: Convert images, PDFs, documents, audio, and video files.

Context-Aware Ring: Only relevant format options are displayed based on the selected file.

Offline Functionality: All processing happens on your Mac; no uploads required.

Non-Destructive Editing: Original files are never touched; new files are saved alongside.

File Shrinking: Reduce file size significantly without compromising quality.

Image Manipulation: Crop, resize, and rotate images and PDF pages with ease.

Audio & Video Tools: Mute videos instantly and convert audio formats.

PDF Merging: Combine multiple PDF files into a single document.

Secure & Notarized: Verified by Apple for malware and authenticity.

Customizable Shortcut: Change the activation shortcut to your preference.
