Daakster

Developed an android application that aids in the communication of hearing impaired people. The app uses the google’s speed to text API to notify the user when his/her name is called out; it then relays the following conversation by converting the speech to text. Awarded the best project in Def Hacks 2019 organized at Microsoft HQ.

1. An android application that works for the safety and continuous sustenance of stray animals in Delhi and NCR regions. The app allows the user to call for a veterinary hospital, supply of food or water, etc. 2. Once the request is made, I receive a mail and my team acts upon the request.

MooPoint

• An android mobile app that was invented at Def-Hacks 2019 as an effort to increase the accessibility by providing hearing-impaired people a means to interact normally with other people without the need to learn sign languages or lip-reading techniques. • As soon as the app registers the user's name being called out, it vibrates the smartphone and pops-up a notification. The user can click on this notification to go to the app, where the app converts speech-to-text in real time for the user to comprehend and reply to.

• Created a beta Android app that empowers blind people to locate large objects like empty chairs, desks, and even mobile phones by simply scanning the room with their phone’s camera. • Built on Android Studio; used Java to monitor phone’s gyro and position sensors, and tracked the position of the user anywhere inside the room; TensorFlow Lite to identify objects using the phone camera. • Awarded the 2nd Best Hack overall and the Best Accessibility Hack.

What's Around

Developed an android application that helps the blind people to locate objects like chairs, windows, doors, etc in a room. Used tensor flow’s object detection API to detect the object specified by the user and the phone’s gyro and position sensors to track the motion and position of the user in the room. The app directs the user to go left or right until he/she reaches the object.
