Luminary was founded by Aditya Kaul, an entrepreneur and product builder. The idea grew from his interest in how people explore information, follow curiosity, and make sense of the world. While at UC San Diego, Aditya explored philosophy, consciousness, technology, and fundamental questions about life and people.Using AI tools, he saw that finding information had become easy, but deeply exploring an idea still required jumping between chats, search engines, websites, videos, and documents. Luminary was created to change that. Rather than another chatbot, search engine, or traditional EdTech product, Luminary is an Exploration and Understanding Engine designed to help people find information, explore ideas and connections, and develop deeper understanding - all in one place.
