Jagriti Yatra is an ambitious train journey of discovery and transformation that takes hundreds of India's highly motivated youth, especially those who are from small towns and villages of India, on a 15 day, 8000 km national odyssey to meet the role models - social and business entrepreneurs - of the country. The vision of Jagriti is 'building India through enterprise'. I was a Yatri in 2016. The sheer scale of operations of the Yatra intrigued me. In 2018, I applied to volunteer and got selected in ERC. What is ERC? The 30 member team of Engine Room Club help with the operations, programming and media on the biggest train event of its kind in the world!. The ERC makes sure the train reaches the next stop on time, that everyone onboard has been served fresh, delightful meals and that the experience is smooth and conducive to learning.
