Indian Institute for Studies in Mathematics, is an organization conducting competitive math examination across India with yearly registrations of over 6000 students across India. I was responsible to design and develop a highly complex web application having multiple layers of complexity. Following are the components of the entire eco-system. 1. Company website. 2. E-commerce section for selling e-books and print books. 3. A direct students registration portal. 4. Registration and Management portal for partner schools 5. Registration and Management portal for partner representatives 6. A practice test system for students with Questions and Answers randomization of images based questions and answers. 7. Management portal for the organization to issue Admit cards, manage sales and customer request, schools, representatives, receipts and payments. 8. Administration control over the website as well as the e-commerce portal as well as controlling the dates of registration, issuing of registration cards, issuing the books, enabling and disabling the practice test exam system. 9. The main examination system that was enabled only on the day of examination. It was the most nerve wrecking part as it was used to conduct tests of over 5000 students at the same time. 10. Basic BI system for visualization of various data sets. 11. A computation system to compute and display the number of students attempting the exams, number of attempts, submitted the exam, cleared the exam, were absent for the exam, etc. Technology and Platforms used: 1. Front end: HTML5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery and Bootstrap 2. Back end: MySQL relational database server 3. Programming languages: PHP and Java 4. VPS hosting with Bigrock. 5. Load Balanced EC2 and RDS Instances for the main examination system.

Core Business Application Development

Requirements: •	Setup a MS Windows and Linux dual boot lab environment for Computer Science students. •	Setup a central shared drive for student and teachers to share data. •	Setup a PXE boot environment on server for installing Fedora Linux on the client machines. •	Setup a software development environment on client machines for various programming course wares of the students. •	Setup a gateway firewall to protect the entire network along with content filtering, bandwidth management and user authentication for internet usage. •	Provide an intermediate level training to students and teachers on using Linux effortlessly. Achievements: •	Installed Cent OS v6.0 on the server machine using the LVM setup. •	Installed the latest updates and upgrades, using the ‘YUM’ package manager. •	Installed and configured the PXE boot environment to Fedora 14 boot image. •	Installed and configured a Samba share on the server as shared network storage. •	Using the PXE boot environment installed Fedora 14 alongside already installed Windows XP setup on almost 60 client machines. The installation was carried out using a ‘Kickstart” script. •	Installed and configured a gateway firewall using IPCop v2.1 firewall distribution. •	Implemented bandwidth management as well as content filtering on the firewall to block unwanted website access, ads blocking, etc. as well as configured user authentication so that no student or teacher was able to access the internet until authenticated by the firewall. •	Installed and configured SARG (Squid Analysis Report Generator) package on firewall to monitor and report user actions on the internet as well as generate HTML reports, with information about users, IP Addresses, bytes, sites and times. •	Provided 3 days of training to the teachers and students on running and using Fedora Linux for their everyday assignments and projects as well as troubleshoot simple problems.

Linux Lab environment at Carmel Vidya Bhavan 

Requirements: •	Upgrade the current Linux server OS to the latest version •	Installing the latest system, security and software updates on the server. •	Install the latest version of Java, Apache Tomcat and the CDS (Communication Device Simulator) on the server as well as the client machines. Achievements: •	Upgraded the server OS from Red Hat Linux 3.1 to Cent OS v6.0 •	Installed the latest updates and upgrades, using the ‘YUM’ package manager. •	Installed the latest version of Java, Apache Tomcat and CDS on ten clients and the server.

Systems Upgradation at 109 Light Air Defense 

Rotary EYE is a very well known brand in terms of eye care. It is a Charitable trust, Eye Hospital, has a college for Optometry studies as well as they claim to be India's largest eye bank. The organization needed a website. They wanted it match with the entire makeover that they did to the organization itself with new branding and completely new look for the premise and the latest machinery. I was assigned the task to design and develop the website and the time frame given was just 4 days. The website was large with over 80 pages and had a lot of textual as well as image and visual contents. The Swiss Army knife for this project was surely Wordpress. Using wordpress, I was able to complete the website within 2 days flat with all the design approvals and layouts being approved live with the chairman and secretary sharing the desk along with me full time.
