We created Onit Dictate because we didn’t want to pay $140+ yearly for voice dictation while also sending our transcripts to the cloud (looking at your Wispr Flow). Onit is a 100% free and local alternative to paid dictation tools like WisprFlow, SuperWhisper and Willow.We wanted to go beyond basic speech-to-text (like Apple's dictation) and create a smart, AI-powered dictation tool that takes your rough transcripts and turns it into something formatted, clean and ready-to-use. Our custom-built local Smart Cleanup model does just that. It quickly and accurately processes your transcript to remove filler words, stutters and also format numbers, emails, lists and more!
